Fabulous Fudge Pie

Vanilla Wafer-Pecan Crust
170g Safeway vanilla Wafers, crushed
50 g finely chopped pecans
70 g butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fudge Filling
100 g butter
200 g chocolate
200 g sugar
50 g flour
1 pinch of salt
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

To make crust, combine vanilla, crumbs, pecans and butter. Press into bottom and sides of a pie dish. Bake at 350°F for 8 minutes or until firm. Meanwhile, make filling: melt butter and chocolate until smooth. Combine sugar, flour, salt, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and serve with whipped cream, if desired.
